Letter in the mail today

So every day when I get the mail, I look for some "good" mail...maybe some money, a personal letter from someone, and especially no bills. Well today I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 pieces of good mail. The first one was a birthday card for Jeremiah from some dear friends and the other was a letter from our sponsor child, Matiwos. The letter from Matiwos said this:

Dear Carmen,

How are you? I am fine. I will start the school after some days in grade 7. Hope someday I will see you. We are going to celebrate our new year and I wish a happy year for you too.

I love you.

Your Matiwos

Isn't that just so sweet? I LOVE getting letters from him and hearing about what he is doing. I had hoped to go see him while I was in Ethiopia, but it obviously didn't work out, so hopefully I'll be able to meet him some other time. We sponsor Matiwos through Yezelalem Minch. If you would like to sponsor a child through them, please click here to go to their website. You will not only get the blessing of getting letters like the one above a few times a year, but you will help a child (or children) go to school, get enough food to eat, have a place to sleep at night, etc. If you DO decide to sponsor a child, please let me know! I would love to hear of your decision to do this!

Matiwos...isn't he SO HANDSOME???

Today I Kissed an Angel

Today I kissed an angel. I knew it from the start. The first time my angel smiled at me; I gave away my heart.

Today I kissed an angel; This angel child of mine. Though not of my creation, My child by God's design.

Today I kissed an angel. My heart is dancing wild; Our family, by a miracle; Blessed by our angel child.
